Peter was born and raised in Parrsboro, a small town in Nova Scotia, pop 1867, elevation 50 m and he was delivered rather dramatically by the town doctor who was also a pig farmer.
Peter likes adventure. He has trekked mountains on 3 continents. He has gone helicopter riding over glaciers in the Yukon, kayaking in the Queen Charlotte Islands, zip lined the jungles of Central America, down hill skiing in the Italian Alps, snorkeling with moray eels in the Red Sea, riding on a camel in Israel and made eye to eye contact with humpback whales.
Peter’s entrepreneurial spirit flourished early — working in the local drug store since age 12 and buying up all the fireworks at the only general store to resell them to neighborhood kids for a “slight” markup.
Peter has trekked to the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal where he flew a kite at the elevation of 18,208ft, 6 inches. Picture this
Peter is a licensed public school teacher and driver education instructor and has taught children at the level of Special Education to Grade 9.
Peter has chanted with Buddhist nuns in an isolated monastery in the Himalayan Mountains.
Peter had his poetry short listed in a poetry contest.
Peter has rock climbed up a 5.7 grade rock face in the Yukon.
Peter danced under the midnight sun at the 20 Anniversary of the Dawson City Music Festival, Yukon
Peter has been interviewed numerous times on national TV, radio and newspaper and featured in several TV show documentaries, including Generation XXL, a Gemini Award nominated documentary about teens and obesity.
Peter’s healthy relationships work with men was quoted in the October 2002 edition of “O” The Oprah Magazine.
Peter builds his own Didgeridoos and other fun and practical things out of driftwood found on the beach.
Peter plays with lobsters when scuba diving, but always puts them back ; )
Peter’s Grandfather taught him to plow his first field with a farm tractor when he was 14 years old.
Peter had speaking role and danced with “Anna” in front of an audience of over a 1000 people in the Rodgers & Hammerstein play, “The King and I.” That same year he played to boos as a nasty psychiatrist, Dr Frude.
Peter loves to sing but despite a heavy investment in voice lessons still doesn’t quite always carry the tune.
Peter had several layers of dead skin removed in a genuine Turkish bath in Istanbul, Turkey.

Peter was inspired by a romantic castle on the North coast of Ireland to bring his girlfriend back to propose to her. At the time he had no prospects but 2 years later, to the day, he proposed to Andrea. They were married 7/7/07
Peter has been “Skreeched In” after kissing a codfish and drinking an unknown dark liquid to become an honorary Newfoundlander.
Peter was kicked off a movie set and was in an armed robbery within the first 24 hours of the first time he visited Los Angeles, California.
Peter is a proud uncle to 8 nieces and nephews and enjoys teaching them to balance spoons on their noses, spit and chew tobacco and other important life skills (like a sense of humour!)
